Man, woman injured when vehicle rolls over on Route 12F in Hounsfield

PADDY HILL —  A woman and a man were extricated from a vehicle following a rollover accident shortly before 3:15 a.m. Saturday in the front yard of 19789 State Route 12F in the town of Hounsfield.

The female was taken by Town of Watertown Ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center at about 3:40 a.m. and the man was removed from the vehicle at 3:59 a.m. and transported to SMC by Guilfoyle Ambulance.

No medical helicopters were available to fly the victims to a Syracuse hospital due to weather conditions, according to radio traffic.

The vehicle was westbound on State Route 12F when it exited the right shoulder and rolled over into a utility pole between the Sunoco store and Old Rome State Road.

State police were assisted by Town of Brownville Fire Department, Town of Watertown Ambulance, Guilfoyle Ambulance, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Derrigo’s Towing and National Grid.
