WATERTOWN, NY — Margaret A. Hodge, 76, Watertown, wife of Thomas Hodge, passed away Thursday morning, April 25, 2019, at her home under the care of Hospice with her family at her side.
A Celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at the Eagles Club, outer Washington Street, town of Watertown, on Saturday, May 4, beginning at 2 p.m.
Margaret was born January 21, 1943 in Massena, NY, a daughter to James and Clara Crane Howland. Margaret owned and operated the Aldemar Restaurant on Public Square with her sister May Kay for many years. She later was a bartender and waitress at the Eagles Club in Watertown.
Margaret married Thomas Hodge September 28, 1992. She was previously married to Melvin Bray.
Margaret was a 3-time past president of the Eagles Club and a member of the Black River American Legion.
She is survived by her husband Thomas; her sons David (Cathy) Bray and Darrin Bray (Cris Wood), all of Vermont, Daniel Bray (Patti Mothersell), Adams; her step children Thomas (Joann) Hodge, Jr., Watertown, Kim Brislan, Philadelphia, NY, Timothy Hodge, Rochester; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carol Bray and Donna (John) Lee, all of Watertown; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four brothers James, Robert, Raymond and Billy Howland and two sisters, Mary Kay Howland and Laura Howland.
