Mary Ann Langevin, 73, Carthage

CARTHAGE, NY — Mary Ann Langevin,73, of Route 3, Carthage, died Monday evening, Nov. 19, 2018, at her home while under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

Mary Ann was born on May 16, 1945, in Copenhagen, the daughter of the late Alexander J. and Margaret (Jones) St. Louis.

She married Gilles J. Langevin on April 11, 1964, at St. Mary’s Church in Copenhagen. S

he was an interior decorator, a waitress at Intorcia’s Donut Shop and for many years she worked at Gray’s Flower Shop in Carthage.

She was very involved with the Rome State School for the Deaf.

Mary Ann was a member of the Red Hat Society and she loved to play Scrabble and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband: Gilles J. Langevin of Carthage, one daughter, Tina Covey and her fiancé, Richard Vooris of Carthage, two sons: Aaron (Rosemary) Langevin of Michigan and Aarik (Amanda) Langevin of Carthage, five grandchildren; Tiffany Covey, Kiley Covey, Aavry Langevin, Eliza Langevin and Jacee Langevin, four sisters: Joan Davis of Lowville, Linda Intorcia and Shirley Nevills both of Carthage and Karen Davidson of Redwood, two brothers: Robert St. Louis of NC and Kenneth St. Louis of SC and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Richard, Herb, Allan and Warner St. Louis and a sister, Grace Scanlon.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home with Rev. Donald A. Robinson officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the funeral service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

There will be a “Celebration of Life” at the American Legion Post # 789 in Carthage immediately following the funeral service.
