Men arguing on Upstate NY highway are hit, killed by car, troopers say

KENT, NY – On July 2, 2022, the New York State Police began investigating a fatal collision on Interstate 84 westbound near mile marker 59.5 in the town of Kent.

Initial investigation determined two men, Mark H. Hall, age 38, of Holmes, NY, and Fabian A. Tirado, age 22, of Wappinger, NY, stopped in the right lane of travel and exited their vehicles due to a road rage altercation. While Hall and Tirado continued to argue in the right lane, a third vehicle struck both men at approximately 1:35 a.m.

Hall and Tirado were pronounced deceased at the scene. The third operator suffered minor injuries and was transported to Danbury Hospital.
