New Daily Buffet in Watertown pays $1,350 in Department of Health fines

WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  The state Department of Health listed the following food service violations and fines paid in documents obtained by Newzjunky.com.

· $750 –  At the time of inspection quantities of potentially hazardous food including a variety of sushi were found being held under ineffective cold holding accommodations at temperatures conducive to pathogen proliferation (51-59 degrees Fahrenheit). Cold holding violations have previously been cited during inspections conducted in 2021, 2019, 2018, 2017 and 2016.

· $300 –  At the time of inspection quantities of potentially hazardous food including cooked chicken and raw chicken were being held at temperatures conducive to pathogen proliferation (58-60 degrees Fahrenheit) for a period of time greater than that required for preparation of service, with no attempt being made to maintain food safe temperatures. Violations for the holding of potentially hazardous foods outside of temperature control were previously cited during an inspection conducted in 2021. 

· $300 –  At the time of inspection quantities of potentially hazardous food including cooked chicken and spare ribs were being held under ineffective hot holding accommodations at temperatures conducive to pathogen proliferation (115-118 degrees Fahrenheit). Hot holding violations have previously been cited during inspections conducted in 2021, 2020 and 2017.
