WATERTOWN, NY —Â Next month, Watertown’s own North Country Comic Con will hold a preview event at the Salmon Run Mall. This free family-friendly fun day will include a video game tournament, music and dancing, a costume contest, and more. Winners of the various contests can receive free passes to Nococon’s annual convention in June.
“It’s a great chance for people to come out and unwind after this difficult winter, to express themselves, and for anybody who missed the convention last year to get just a taste for what a major comic con can offer the community,” said Co-Director James McKay.
Additionally, many of the mall’s shops will be offering specials for costumed participants. The event is open to all ages, and takes place on Saturday April 9, from noon to 4, right inside the Salmon Run Mall.
