WATERTOWN, NY — The City of Watertown’s Water Distribution crews will be assisting in final connections to the new water main on Barben Ave. on August 14th. Sections of the road will be closed at Butterfield Avenue and Washington Street. Temporary service interruptions will be proceeded by notice from the contractor during this period. The City of Watertown Water Distribution Department will provide updates if this work will not be completed as planned.
The contractor will follow standard protocol to establish traffic control on-site while the project is underway. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes on this date. If traveling through, motorists should exercise caution when encountering work crews and work zones.
