Notre Dame football to play at Carrier Dome on Oct. 29

SYRACUSE, NY —  Syracuse University will host Notre Dame on Oct. 29 in the Loud House – the first time since 2003 that the Fighting Irish have visited the Dome.

The game will be part of an exciting seven-game home slate in 2022, that features the previously announced non-conference home games against Purdue and Wagner in addition to the four home dates against ACC competition.

‘Cuse most recently faced off with Notre Dame in 2020, in a game that ‘Cuse held with the squad that eventually made the College Football Playoff for much of the first half, before Notre Dame pulled away to win 45-21.

The Orange took the last meeting in the Carrier Dome though, winning 38-12.

This will be the 11th meeting between the two schools, in a series that dates back to 1914. Notre Dame owns the series lead at 7-3.

The Orange head into 2022 with a talented roster, led by the ACC’s leading offensive vote getter in All-ACC voting – running back Sean Tucker. The Orange also can return a starter at 18-of-22 positions, including First Team All-ACC linebacker Mikel Jones to anchor the defense.
