REMSEN, NY — On August 26, 2018 at approximately 7:30 a.m., State Police responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash on North Steuben Road in the town of Steuben.
Investigation revealed a 2015 Hyundai, operated by Collin J. Hess, age 23, from Copenhagen, NY, was traveling north on North Steuben Road when the vehicle drove off the roadway, struck a National Grid utility pole, and overturned coming to a rest on the passenger side, troopers said.
Mr. Hess was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An autopsy is scheduled to determine the official cause of death.
The investigation is continuing.
