NYSP: Domestic dispute involving a gun with children in residence leads to arrest

FINE, NY —  On February 6, 2023, troopers arrested Alan D. Facey, age 44, of Fine, NY for menacing second-degree, criminal possession of a weapon fourth-degree -convicted felon, criminal possession of a weapon third-degree -previous conviction, reckless endangerment first-degree, unlawful imprisonment second-degree, and endangering the welfare of a child.

On January 31, 2023, around 11:41 p.m., troopers responded to State Highway 58, in the town of Fine for a domestic dispute involving a gun. An investigation determined Facey, and the victim were involved in an all day and night verbal altercation. Facey became so irate he went and retrieved a shotgun, troopers said. With the shotgun in his hand, he places himself in a chair not allowing the victim to leave the area, troopers said. Facey then shot a round off inside the residence while children were present the entire time, troopers said. After he shot the shotgun, he threw the gun and a chair at the victim. The victim was able to get the gun away from Facey and secure it.

Facey was arrested and transported to SP Ogdensburg for processing.

He was arraigned in the Town of Morristown Court where he was released on recognizances.
