NYSP: Morristown woman charged after serious motor vehicle crash

MORRISTOWN, NY — On October 12, 2021, State Police arrested 52-year-old Leslie A. Hockey of Morristown following an investigation of a serious car crash that left Hockey injured and her husband 59-year-old Kevin C. Hockey, seriously injured. On April 17, 2021, at approximately 9:30 p.m. Leslie was traveling west on County Route 2 in the town of Morristown. Leslie ran off the north shoulder of the roadway on a curve and struck a guard rail, overturning and landing in a yard.

Both were taken to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center and Kevin was later transported to SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for multiple spinal fractures and a brain bleed.

Leslie was charged with Aggravated Vehicular Assault, Driving While Intoxicated, and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated.

She was arraigned in the Morristown Town Court where she was released on her own recognizance.
