OGDENSBURG, NY —Â Jason J. Simmons, 38, Ogdensburg, was charged on Sept. 20 by state police following a pursuit which occurred on September 15 between St. Lawrence and Jefferson counties.
The pursuit began in the city of Ogdensburg and continued through the townships of Oswegatchie, Morristown, and Hammond, troopers said.
Simmons entered Jefferson County into the town of Alexandria where troopers in Troop D attempted to deploy a tire deflation device. The pursuit was terminated when Simmons entered into the village of Alexandria Bay.
Simmons was charged with third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle and released with tickets.
