NYSP: Woman found drunk, asleep in parked car facing wrong direction in center of southbound lane of I-81 in the town of Adams

ADAMS CENTER, NYSebrina L. Lysyczyn-Cronin, 55, Syracuse, NY, was charged early Thursday by state police with aggravated driving while intoxicated (an unclassified misdemeanor), making an illegal u-turn, unsafe lane change and parking on a highway, all violations.

On Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, at approximately 3:00 a.m., troopers responded to reckless driving complaint on Interstate 81, near exit 42 in the town of Adams.

When troopers arrived, they located the vehicle parked in the center of the southbound lane facing northbound.

The operator, Sebrina L. Lysyczyn-Cronin was found asleep behind the steering wheel, troopers said.

Lysyczyn was transported to State Police Watertown for processing and submitted to a chemical test which resulted in a blood alcohol content of 0.18%. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.

She was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear 7 p.m. Nov. 28 in the Adams Town Court.
