LAFARGEVILLE, NY — On June 4, 2023, at 9:48 p.m., State Police in Alexandria Bay responded to a one-vehicle crash on Woodard Road at the intersection with Tubilino Road in the town of Orleans, Jefferson County.
A 2012 Volkswagen Jetta, operated by Rylan J. Davidson, age 18, from LaFargeville, NY, was traveling south on Woodard Road when he drove off the roadway and struck a large tree, troopers said.
Davidson was transported by TIER Ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center with internal injuries, including a shattered left femur, troopers said.
A 21-year-old passenger, Jeron L. Scott from Clayton, NY, was transported by TIERS Ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center and then airlifted by LifeNet to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse and is listed in critical condition, troopers said.
The investigation is continuing.
State Police were assisted at the scene by the La Fargeville Fire Department.
