NYSP Update: Theresa collission

THERESA, NY — The New York State Police released the following statement:

State Police are investigating a two-car crash that occurred at the intersection of State Route 411 and Route 37 in the town of Theresa, Jefferson County.

The investigation has revealed, at approximately 3:45 p.m., a 2001 Chevrolet Malibu, operated by Eugene M. Morehouse, age 20 from Cheektowaga, NY was traveling east on State Route 411 and stopped at the intersection of State Route 37.  Mr. Morehouse then entered the intersection failing to observe a 2012 Nissan Rogue, operated by Hannah F. Hodolitz, age 21 from Evans Mills, NY that was traveling south on Route 37, troopers said.

The Chevrolet Malibu then exited the roadway on the east shoulder of the roadway and came to rest in a field.  Mr. Morehouse was airlifted by LifeNet to Upstate Medical Center and listed in stable condition.  Hodolitz and a passenger in the vehicle, Christopher R. Valenzuela were transported to Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown with minor injuries.
