WATERTOWN, NY — City firefighters, police, DPW workers, National Grid workers and representatives from the Department of Environmental Conservation have responded to an accident scene in the 200 block of Mill Street during the noon lunch hour on Friday.
Mill Street is closed from Public Square to Main Avenue due to a fuel spill.
Employees at numerous businesses including Knowlton Technologies and Standard Auto Parts were evacuated form the area due to a severed gas line.
A witness said the driver of the vehicle experienced a medical issue resulting in the accident.
Police and fire officials have not released further details at this time.
