Pierrepont Manor woman arrested for striking state trooper and two volunteer firefighters and having a BAC of 0.19%

PULASKI, NY — On February 26, 2023, at 4:54 p.m., State Police in Pulaski responded to a property damage crash on State Route 11 in the town of Richland, Oswego County.

When troopers arrived on the scene, they observed a 2022 Jeep Compass on the side of the road in a ditch. The vehicle had struck a fire hydrant and a street sign.  When troopers interviewed the driver, Crystal Woodworth she appeared to be intoxicated.

Troopers escorted Woodworth out of the vehicle and as the trooper instructed the driver through standard field sobriety tests, Woodworth struck the trooper in the face and became combative. Two firefighters from the Ringgold Fire Department assisted the trooper, as Woodworth continued to fight. Before getting Woodworth into custody, she struck both firefighters and bit the trooper in the left arm.

Crystal J. Woodworth, age 45, from Pierrepont Manor, NY, was arrested for the following charges:

  • Resisting Arrest, class “A” misdemeanor

  • Obstructing Governmental Administration, class “A” misdemeanor

  • Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (BAC of .19%), an unclassified misdemeanor

  • Menacing third-degree, class “B” misdemeanor

  • (4) counts of Harassment second-degree, a violation

Woodworth was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Oswego County CAP Court on March 13, 2023, at 5:30 p.m.

State Police were assisted at the scene by the Ringgold Fire Department, and the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office.
