Pirates Days continues in Alex Bay

ALEXANDRIA BAY, NY —  We had a grrrreat first Pirate’s Weekend here in Alexandria Bay.

Friday night kicked off the event with a fantastic performance from Doc Yukon.

During the performance it was invaded by Bill Johnston himself with a band of pirates and Kate Johnston (Riley Willix). The pirate rallied for the children’s parade through downtown Alexandria Bay and once again invaded our shores at Scenic View Park on Saturday afternoon that was attended by more than 1,000 people! Pirate Palooza at Thousand Islands Winery took place from 2pm to 5pm and was attended by our gang of Pirates and their ship. Families dressed up to take photos with the motley crew.

Festivities continue throughout this week with animal exhibits, pirate skits and more. Friday night’s block dance features a crowd favorite Tough Luck.

Saturday, Aug. 17, holds children’s crafts, children’s parade and tall ship invasion.

Sunday is our final day with the Grand Parade at 2 p.m.
