Watertown Police Department:
Darren M. Harra, 40, homeless, was charged by Watertown police at 8:20 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with second-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny, both felonies. Mr. Harra is accused of entering an unoccupied residence at 642 Emerson St. without permission of the owner Robert Avery and stole two pump action shotguns, a bolt action shotgun, a lever action 30/30 rifle, a semi automatic .22-caliber rifle and two muzzle loaders at about 3:09 p.m. Oct. 23, according to court documents. The firearms are owned by James Avery, police said. Some of the firearms were located Saturday night in a garbage along Ridge Road near the Black River Trail parking area in the town of Watertown after an extensive two hour search by numerous city police officers and state troopers. Harra was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Sunday morning in City Court.
Darren M. Harra, 40, homeless, was charged by Watertown police at 8:20 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with second-degree assault, a felony, third-degree burglary, a felony, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, a misdemeanor and attempted petit larceny, a misdemeanor. Mr. Harra is accused of entering a shed at 217 High St. with the intent to steal a pair of vehicle rims and a tent at about 11:29 a.m. Saturday, according to court documents. When he was confronted by Police Officer by Dustin C. Shawcross, Mr. Harra allegedly jumped onto a shed roof and fled the scene at about 11:45 a.m. Saturday, police said. Police Officer Shawcross sustained a cut to his right forearm when Harra pulled his leg away from Shawcross who was attempting to detain him on the metal roof of the shed during a burglary investigation, according to court documents. The police officer was treated at Samaritan Medical Center. Harra was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Sunday morning in City Court.
Christopher M. Dobucki, 31, of 129 S. Pleasant St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 10:04 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at City Hall, 245 Washington St., with second-degree criminal impersonation, a misdemeanor, and first-degree falsifying business records, a felony. Mr. Dobucki is accused of misleading police into believing his name was Robert C. Pett leading to the creation of several records and statements containing the false information at about 2:28 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building. He was also arrested on a bench warrant, police said. He is summoned to appear Oct. 25 in City Court.
William D. Anderson, 27, of 1212 Superior St., Apt. D16, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 8:48 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at 1212 Superior St. with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Mr. Anderson is accused of intentionally damaging four radial tires worth approximately $400 belonging to Jordin Allen at about 6:50 a.m. Oct. 23 at 1212 Superior St., according to court documents. Police said he also possessed Aderall without a prescription bottle identifying it as his at about 8:48 a.m. Saturday. He was additionally charged at 11:35 a.m. Saturday at 1212 Superior St. with second-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor. He is accused of unlawfully entering apartment D16 without permission at about 11:07 a.m. Saturday, police said. He is summoned to appear Nov. 5 in City Court.
Warren D. Vineyard, 27, of 442 S. Hamilton St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 10:48 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at his residence with fourth-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment. Mr. Vineyard is accused of intentionally damaging a glass bowl belonging to Katie Vineyard, 27, by throwing it to the ground and breaking it during a domestic incident while the woman was holding a child in her hand at about 10:26 p.m. Sunday at their residence, police said. He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Monday morning in City Court.
Paul M. Rhone, 43, of 111 S. Hamilton St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 2:05 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at his residence with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, a misdemeanor, and second-degree harassment. Mr. Rhone is accused of applying pressure to the neck of a 17-year-old girl and also threw her on a bed causing her to fall to the floor during a domestic incident at about 1:00 a.m. Sunday at 111 S. Hamilton St., according to court documents. He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Sunday morning in City Court.
Vincent Hector Angel Cantu, 20, of 23255 Diana Dr., Evans Mills, was charged by Watertown police at 5:56 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, in the 100 block of N. Pearl Avenue with operating a vehicle on a suspended registration. He is summoned to appear Nov. 5 in City Court.
