Jimmy D. Arata, 43, of 550 Coffeen St., Apt. 301, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police on Sunday, June 17, in the 400 block of Coffeen Street with second-degree aggravated harassment and resisting arrest. Mr. Ararta is accused of harassing Skyler B. Haynes, 26, by “calling her phone and telling her that he would find her and bury her,” according to court documents. “This occurred after the defendant threatened to killer the victim earlier that evening,” police wrote. He allegedly refused to provide his hands for handcuffing when he pulled his arms away and advised that he was not being arrested at about 9:58 p.m. June 17 in the 400 block of Coffeen Street, police said. He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Monday morning in City Court.
Bobbie Jo Hunter, 34, of 418 Maple Ave., upper apt., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 8:18 p.m. Sunday, June 17, at her residence with endangering the welfare of a child, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. Police allege she fought around an 8-month-old boy causing the child to be struck in the face during an argument at about 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Kinney Drugs, 905 Coffeen St., according to court documents. Ms. Hunter allegedly pushed and scratched Brooke M. Endres, 22, Dexter, in her face which caused damage to eyeglasses valued at $150 during the altercation, police said. She is summoned to appear July 11 in City Court.

Shane M. Boshart, 31, Glenfield, was charged by Lewis County sheriff’s deputies at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 17, with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. These charges stem from a reported physical domestic incident on June 12 in Lowville involving a woman, deputies said. Mr. Boshart is summoned to appear in Lowville Village Court at a later date.

Hanna E. Podd, 25, of 9214-C York St., Fort Drum, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 11:44 p.m. Sunday, June 17, at Routes 11 and 342 in the town of LeRay with aggravated driving while intoxicated. Deputies said they observed a Nissan SUV parked on the shoulder of Route 11 with Ms. Podd sitting in the vehicle with the driver’s side door open and the hazard lights on. Her blood alcohol content was 0.24 percent, police said. A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater. She is summoned to appear July 9 in LeRay Town Court.
Namon Vanderstelt, 36, of 909 Weiland Rd., Rochester, NY, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 3:42 a.m. Saturday, June 16, on Route 11 in the town of Philadelphia with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right and driving across hazard markings. Deputies did not provide his BAC. He is summoned to appear June 27 in Philadelphia Town Court.

New York State Police:
On June 15, 2018, State Police responded to a residence on US Highway 11, in the town of Gouverneur, for a report of a burglary. The victim stated he was sleeping in his bed and was awakened at approximately 1:00 a.m., by the suspect 45-year-old Gail M. Wylie, of Philadelphia, NY, standing in his bedroom. When the victim told Wylie to leave, she did so. The victim then discovered he was missing approximately $300.00 in U.S. currency. There is an active order of protection against Wylie with the victim listed as the protected party. Wylie was located and arrested. She was charged with Burglary second-degree, and Criminal Contempt first-degree. She was arraigned at the Town of Gouverneur Court, and remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with no bail.
