Polly J. VanDusen Morgan, 61, Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY — Polly J. VanDusen Morgan, 61, Watertown, NY, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, with her family by her side.

She was born to the late Don and Gladys VanDusen.

Polly was also predeceased by her sister, Marsha VanDusen.

Polly is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, John Morgan; sons, James Morgan of Dallas, TX and Chris (Jody Ann) Morgan of Elmira, NY; sister, Judy (Stephen) Farrar Harris of Boston, MA; brother-in-law, Jim (Kathy) Morgan of Huntington, NY; nieces and nephew, Anne Morgan of Huntington, NY, John Morgan of New Orleans, LA, and Abbie Farrar of Ticonderoga, NY.

Polly attended local schools including Boone Street School where she met the love of her life, John, while in the 6th grade. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1979 and went to take various business courses at J.C.C. Polly started her working career at Key Bank in the main office, where she worked for many years in various departments. She was most proud of her time spent working as the Town Clerk of Rodman and she also served as the Secretary Treasurer for
the Rodman Fire District. Polly was the Past President of the South Jefferson P.T.O and was very active in Boy Scout Troop 35 in Adams Center. She loved quilting and working on puzzles.

Polly was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Polly's name to the Rodman Fire Department, 21495 County Rd 69, Rodman, NY 13682 or American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons Street, East Syracuse, NY 13057 or to a charity of one’s choice.

Calling hours will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2019, with a memorial service celebrating Polly’s life to follow at 6 pm at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Inc., 632 State St., Watertown, NY 13601.
