CARTHAGE, NY — The Carthage Central School District released the following statement:
With the closure of schools for the next several weeks, and the need to follow the social distancing recommendations of Public Health, the State of New York and the Federal Government, the previously scheduled March 26 stakeholder sessions with Superintendent finalist, Mrs. Jennifer Premo, were no longer possible.
The Board of Education instead consulted with the leadership of school stakeholder groups and received clear feedback from them about their thoughts and wishes.
Based on that feedback, and based on the recognition that Mrs. Premo has done an outstanding job of leading the District through challenging circumstances in her capacity as Interim Superintendent, the Board of Education is pleased and excited to announce that they appointed Mrs. Jennifer Premo as Superintendent of
Carthage Central School District at their March 16 meeting.
Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Premo, whose long-time service and commitment to the district and Carthage community will continue in this new role.
