Quinton “Scott” Dufresne, 58, Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY — Quinton “Scott” Dufresne passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family while under of the care of Hospice of Jefferson County. Scott was previously under the care of Roswell Park Cancer Center, Buffalo, NY.

Scott enjoyed many outdoor activities that included woodworking, hunting, fishing, boating, and especially riding his Harley. Scott enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Scott worked for several years for the NYS DOT Bridge Crew, Bradley Street, Watertown.

Scott was born on May 5, 1960, to Harry Dufresne and Janice (Youngs) Dufresne.

Scott and Betsy (Prashaw) Dufresne were married on May 23, 1987. A previous marriage ended in divorce.

Surviving are his wife Betsy; two sons, James Dufresne, Watertown and Michael Dufresne (Alicia), Watertown; a sister, Robin Serow (Rick), Watertown; an aunt, Dorothy Susice (Andy); a cousin, Dan Hasseler; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Scott also has three grandkids Jacob, Isabel and Ayden which he adored.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harry Dufresne and Janice (Youngs) Dufresne, his maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Scott’s final wishes were to be cremated with a private burial with his family so there will be no funeral services or calling hours. His wishes were for anyone wishing to express their condolences to stop by his home. Burial will be held in Brookside Cemetery at a later date.

All funeral arrangements are with Northridge Cremation Chapel, 31291 Town Line Road, Philadelphia, owned and operated by Lundy Funeral Home.

Instead of flowers, Scott asked that donations be made to Hospice of Jefferson County or Roswell Park Alliance Foundation.
