WATERTOWN, NY — Reginald D. “Dave” Jones, 83, passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 5, at Hospice of Jefferson County.
The funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Grove Cemetery, LaFargeville.
Mr. Jones was born Oct. 29, 1935, a son of Reginald and Mary Hutton Jones.
He married Mary O’Riley on Sept. 18, 1954, in the Hope Presbyterian Church, Watertown.
Reginald worked for 35 years at Black & Clawson, Watertown as a machinist. He also served in the Naval Reserves from 1952 to 1960.
He enjoyed hunting, but most of all, the time he spent with his family was his greatest joy.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; six sons, Michael (Karen), England; Mark, Watertown; Stephen (Joyce), Groton; Stuart (Deborah), Dexter; Dale (Susan), Watertown; Daniel, Watertown; a brother, John; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by his three brothers, Robert, Paul, and Donald, and a sister, Thelma Cheever.
