WATERTOWN, NY — The funeral for Reginald G. “Garfield” Meilleur will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at New Life Church, Rev. John Petit officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, in Glenwood Cemetery, town of Watertown. There are no calling hours scheduled.
Garfield passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, at Samaritan Medical Center. He was 67 years old.
He was born Oct. 5, 1951, in Brockport, Ontario.
Following his education Garfield worked as a laborer at various local warehouses, and as a painter at the New York Air Brake.
A marriage to Cathy Meilleur ended when she passed away in June of 2013. He married Ann Fiaschetti on Oct. 3, 2015, at Watertown’s Faith Fellowship Church.
Garfield was a member of New Life Church.
He enjoyed painting, reading, writing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Besides his wife, Ann, he is survived by his stepchildren, Daniel (Kate) Reid, Canada, Ronald (JoAnne) Reid, Syracuse, Thomas (Brandy) Reid, Watertown, Jennifer Whitmarsh, Ohio, Rachael Whitmarsh, Watertown, Elizabeth Whitmarsh, Ohio; and six grandchildren.
