Rep. Stefanik will speak June 6 at Morristown Fire Department

MORRISTOWN, NY  –  U.S. Congresswoman Elise Stefanik will speak at Sunday’s St. Lawrence County Conservative Party “Summer Meet and Greet” event at the Morristown Fire Department.  Congresswoman Stefanik, who has frequently been described as a rising star in the GOP, was recently elected as the third ranking Republican in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The event runs from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Chef Parker Piercey will prepare his famous barbecue with all the fixings. $20 for singles and $30 for couples.

The event, sponsored jointly by the St. Lawrence County Republican and Conservative Parties, will provide an opportunity for citizens to hear from their elected officials, meet candidates in the fall election and learn about how they can get more involved in civic affairs.

Others expected to attend include Senator Joseph Griffo, Dan Stecstec, Assemblyman Mark Walzcyk, Ken Blankenbush and Robert Smullen.

St. Lawrence County Sheriff Brooks Bigwarfe and Franklin County Sheriff Kevin Mulverhill will speak about the impact of recent changes in the law that have made it harder for courts to jail criminals.

The Sheriff’s Department’s K-nine officer will also attend.

Among the visiting celebrities will be former Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Chief Thomas Homan who will be attending the event to promote Conservative candidates running in November.

The St. Lawrence County Conservative Party will also welcome Karen McAuliffe who will  be running in November for Canton Town Supervisor on the Conservative Party line.

Dancing music will be performed by former New York State Fiddling Champion Donny Woodcock and his band.
