Rickey M. Bourcy, 60, Dexter

DEXTER, NY —  Rickey M. Bourcy, 60, Dexter, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019, at his home.

Born Sept. 22, 1958, in Watertown, the son of William and Eleanor Goodfriend Bourcy, he graduated in 1977 from General Brown Central School.

He married Barbara J. Beaumont on Sept. 5, 1981, at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Dexter.

Rickey worked as a Welder/ Fabricator at Halls Ski Lift, Snow Blast, Van-Roll, and Sundance Pools doing chimney sweeps and maintaining pools.

He was presently working at Henderson Trucking Equipment in Watertown.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his sons and grandsons. He would give his grandsons rides on his four wheeler around their property. He enjoyed going to casinos with his wife. Anytime someone needed a helping hand he was there to help.  He was a big joker and a huge Packers Football Fan.

He is survived by his wife Barbara; two sons, Matthew Bourcy and Kyle and his fiancé’ Alisha Patchet, all of Dexter; grandsons, Cody Bourcy, Aaron Bourcy and Max Bourcy; two brothers, Francis “Frank” Bourcy of Dexter and Louis Bourcy of Florida; a sister, Donna Baxter, Brownville; a sister-in-law, Laurie Bourcy, Dexter; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Lynda Turner in 2015, and a brother, Roger Bourcy in 2005.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Parish Center, Main Street, Brownville, NY.

Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.

Donations may be made to the Town of Brownville Fire District in lieu of flowers.
