Ritchie helps cut ribbon on new farm exhibit at Thompson Park Zoo

WATERTOWN, NY — State Senator Patty Ritchie celebrated the grand opening of the newly renovated Children’s Farm Exhibit at the New York State Zoo at Thompson Park Thursday.

Ritchie joined zoo Executive Director and CEO Lawrence Sorel, the zoo’s board of directors, Jake Johnson from Jake’s Lawn Care and children involved in the zoo summer’s program for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the project that now features renovated grounds, baby goats, hogs and chickens, all in an effort to educate visitors on local agriculture.

Senator Ritchie secured a $100,000 grant to help make the project possible.
