SANDY CREEK, NY — Robert F. Taylor, 84, Sandy Creek, passed away Friday, Aug. 24, at the Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown, where he had been a resident since May 2018.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, in Elmwood Cemetery, Adams.
Born Nov. 27, 1933, in Adams, the son of Ernest and Bessie Groff Taylor, he attended school in Adams.
Robert married Helen Mae Kersey on December 31, 1954 and the couple lived in Apopka, Fla for 27 years. Robert retired in 1996 from Walt Disney Co. in Orlando, Fla., and the couple returned to Northern New York in 1999. Mrs. Taylor died in August 2006.
He was a communicant of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Adams.
He is survived by four daughters, Susan Bailes, St. James, MN, Elizabeth Jimenez, St. James, MN, Charyl Torres, Apopka, Fla., and Rhonda Taylor, Sandy Creek, NY; six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; and his cat Manny.
Besides his parents Robert was predeceased by six brothers and five sisters.
