CAPE VINCENT, NY —Â Ronald J. Gillenkirk, 78, summer resident of Island Shadows Trailer Park since 1996, died Sept. 25, 2022, at his summer residence.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 18, at the Paul Harris Funeral Home in Rochester. A funeral Mass will be said 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at St. Cecilia’s Church.
Mr. Gillenkirk was born June 9, 1944, in Rochester, the son of Marvin and Arlene O’Brien Gillenkirk.
He was a retired schoolteacher from the Victor School District, where he also coached JV Baseball.
He married the former Diane Wheaton on Dec, 21, 1968, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church.
Amongst his survivors is his wife Diane, three sons, Tim, Todd, and Rob, and grandchildren.
Donations can be made in his name to a scholarship fund through the Victor School District, where he taught for 33 years, or Matthews Closet, 316 Bay St., Rochester, NYÂ 14605.
