Rose M. Zubrzycki, 83, West Lowville

WEST LOWVILLE, NY – Rose M. Zubrzycki, 83, died peacefully at her home late Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 17, 2019, with her family at her side.

Born Jan. 2, 1936, in the town of Turin, the daughter of the late William and Mabel (Lee) Domser, she graduated from General Martin High School in Glenfield.

Rose was united in marriage with Stanley R. Zubrzycki on June 4, 1960, at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Houseville. Together the owned and operated their farm in West Lowville retiring in 1997.  Stanley died on June 23, 2008.

She is survived by four children, Mary E., Mark S., John W. (Vicki), and Martin P. (Kerry); six grandchildren, Zachary John, Alex William, Taylor Rose, Gavin Martin, Zane Mark, and Vivian Mary; a sister, Shirley Barniak; several nieces and nephews.

Rose was a communicant of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Lewis County Polish American Citizen’s Club.

She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She loved working crossword puzzles.

Her funeral Mass will be said 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2019, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Rev. Jay Seymour, pastor, officiating. Spring burial will be in Lowville Rural Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at the Sundquist Funeral Home.

Family suggest any food donations please be left at the Lewis County Marine Corps League # 754 Farney Hall after 11:30 a.m. Friday. The family would also like to invite everyone to a luncheon at the Marine Corps League after the funeral Mass.
