Rosemary Rice Warner, 77, Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY — Rosemary Rice Warner, 77, passed away Nov. 7, 2018, at her home surrounded by family.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Nov. 17, 2018, at St. Hubert’s Church in Star Lake, NY. Burial will follow at St. Hubert’s Cemetery. A gathering will commence after services at the home of her son, Chris Warner, 23817 State Route 37 in Watertown.

Born Feb. 4, 1941, in Edwards, NY, the daughter of Lewis “Pete” and Bernice “Bunny” (Woods) Rice, she attended Edwards-Knox central school.

She worked various jobs throughout the years and sold Avon for many years.

She married James A. Warner, Sr. on Oct. 11, 1958. She traveled many places with him as he served in the US Army. He passed away Nov. 11, 1975, in Japan.

She is survived by her companion of 39 years, Hugh Dangerfield; a daughter, Susan M. Warner; two sons, James A., Jr. (Diana) Warner and Christopher M. (Paula) Warner; all of Watertown, nine grandchildren: Bobbie-Jo, Crystal, Scott, Chris II, James III, Jason, David, Nicole, Briana; 21 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lewis Rice; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband Rosemary was predeceased by a sister, Caroline Metzler, and a brother, Byron Rice.

Rosemary enjoyed spending time with her family, watching soap operas in the afternoon, and gardening. She had a love for cats.

Rosemary was admired by all, and will be remembered as a loving woman who always found the good in people. She will forever be in our hearts and greatly missed.
