Sibling Serendipity
In an incredible twist of fate, two brothers experienced a remarkable coincidence that left their family, friends and an entire hospital wing amazed.
November 18, 2023, marks a day the Garlock families will cherish and remember for the rest of their lives.
At 10:52 AM, at Samaritan Medical Center’s Car-Freshener Center for Women and Children, Trevor and Erica Garlock welcomed Rory Howard Garlock into the world. A mere 12 hours later at 11:02 PM, Mckenzie Garlock and fiancé Emily Gill celebrated the birth of Catalina Lou Ellen Garlock.
Both newborns and mothers are all healthy and doing well.
The families would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the incredible team of doctors and nurses who handled the safe delivery and the extraordinary postpartum care of bringing their newborns into the world—on the same day, at the same hospital, with the same doctor overseeing both deliveries.
Dr. John Barrett, MD, who has been delivering babies for 28 years, expressed his happiness and amazement, saying this is the first time he could ever recall two siblings having babies born on the same day.
