WATERTOWN, NY —  Scott B. LaVere, 63, Watertown, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Scott was born on Friday, June 13, 1960, the son of Lawrence and Norma (Nonie) LaVere. He was educated locally and graduated from Watertown High School with the Class of 78’.
Throughout his life he was active in theater and local sports including softball, rough touch football, and Lyric Theater. He was also an avid golfer and bowler, and was a proud member of the 700 Club Hall of Fame. He was also an active member of the Watertown Elks Lodge where he was a Past Exalted Ruler.
Scott’s journey touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of laughter and love. He was blessed to have had a multitude of friends, family, and friends that were family, along the way.
Scott is survived by his wife, Sandi; a son Taylor; a step daughter, Olivia Gannt; his father and step-mother, Lawrence (Mary) LaVere; and a step-sister, Mia Ramseier.
Scott was predeceased by his wife, Barbara B. LaVere; his mother, Norma LaVere; and a brother and sister in-law, Todd and Melissa (Missy) LaVere.
There are no public services planned at this time.
A Celebration of Life will be held May 19, 2024, at the Watertown Elks Lodge with exact times to follow.
