State police are investigating a serious two-vehicle accident that occurred at about 4:35 a.m. Sunday, May 20, on Route 12F between Evans Road and Jodi’s Dairy Bar in the town of Hounsfield. One person was flown by a LifeNet medical helicopter to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse after being extricated from a sedan and another person was taken by Guilfole Ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown. A section of Route 12F was closed for about 90 minutes. Further details have not been released. Troopers were assisted at the scene by Brownville and Glen Park volunteer firefighters.
