HENDERSON, NY —Â Â Shari L. Gerni, 58, Henderson, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, at her home.
A funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born March 31, 1963, the daughter to Sidney and Linda Draper Moreton, she was a 1981 graduate of Belleville Union Academy.
Shari married Kenneth Gerni on Nov. 27, 1993, at the Ellsiburg United Methodist Church.
Shari went to worked for Laser Transit, Lacona, in 1999, at the time of her death she was the warehouse administrator.
Surviving are her husband, Kenneth, Henderson; a son, Sean (Patricia) Gerni, Henderson; mother, Linda Moreton, Henderson; her brother and sister-in-law, James and Christine Moreton, Henderson; grandchildren, Aubree, Brylee, Bentlee, Remiee, and her niece Lynne (Micheal) Dowe; a sister-in- law, Holly Richmond, Amanda Roger (the daughter she never had) and her lifelong friends, Dodie and Larry Mitchell. Also surviving is her large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father Sidney on July 9, 2021.
Shari enjoyed the time she spent with her family especially her grandchildren. She never missed a football game or practice for Brylee.
