Perry Golden Statement:
Citizens of Jefferson County, these past few months have been nothing short of incredible. In this time, I have had the privilege to meet so many wonderful residents of our county, hear their thoughts on where we are, and where we should be going in the Sheriff’s Office. I have also had the opportunity to share in the many community events that make the North Country a place we call home.
As you know, I bring several areas of experience to the table: a background in business management, more than 20 years of service in the Sheriff’s Office with a specialization in narcotics investigation, a solid track record of drug enforcement, prevention, education and multi-agency collaborations. With that being said, I am weighing the task of being your Sheriff more broadly and am now ready to announce my choice for the position of Undersheriff, John Bocciolatt. I know John will bring a different, yet complimentary, background in law enforcement to serve the people of Jefferson County.
John was born and raised in Watertown, and shares my values and management approach for our Sheriff’s Office. His almost 30 years of law enforcement experience in a larger metropolitan agency will add value to our team as we serve and protect our citizens. I look forward to working with John as a key and valued member of my future management team.
