Shop With a Cop 2022

WATERTOWN, NY —  The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that the annual Shop With a Cop program is back again in full force and scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022. More than 60 lucky and deserving children from across Jefferson County have been selected and the parents and guardians have been notified.

On Saturday we will be pairing each child with a super excited volunteer from our local law enforcement family. We will begin the morning at the Public Safety Building and head toward Walmart on Route 3 in emergency vehicles as the children get to operate the lights and sirens, letting Santa know they’re on the way. Once they get to Walmart, the children will Christmas shop with their new First Responder friends with a Walmart gift card. After a fun time shopping, they will head to Sam’s Club to enjoy a pizza party and visit with Santa.

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of the sponsors that will make this year’s Shop With a Cop event a great success. Thank you to all of our generous sponsors and volunteers, as well each of the public servants volunteering their off-duty hours to take these children shopping. Since 2003, this program has been creating an environment for positive interactions with everlasting happy memories.”
