St. Lawrence County: 20 new cases

As of Monday, November 2:

• 10 (ten) new cases of COVID-19 were reported to the St. Lawrence County Public Health Department over the weekend, and 10 (ten) new cases were reported today,  bringing the total number of confirmed positive cases to-date to 424 (four hundred and twenty four)

• 44 (forty four) cases are active – please go to: https://www.stlawco.org/ to check out the COVID-19 Cases by Town map layouts (we will also post the maps on our Facebook page @SLCPublicHealth)

• 376 (three hundred and seventy six) cases have been released from isolation*

• 7 (seven) cases are hospitalized.

• Testing is being done through both St. Lawrence Health Systems and Claxton Hepburn Medical Center. Testing is by appointment only. Please call the hotline numbers below between 8a-4p if you have symptoms, you are an essential worker or feel you should be tested:

*New York On PAUSE continues until November 4^th 2020 (as written in Executive Order 202.60), requiring postponement, cancellation, or restriction of all non-essential gatherings of more than fifty (50) individuals, and gatherings occurring indoors must not exceed 50% of maximum capacity, provided the region has reached Phase 4 of the State’s reopening, and provided that social distancing, face covering, and cleaning and disinfection protocols required by the Department of Health are adhered to. Businesses or entities in industries open for Phase One, Two, Three and Four must be operated subject to the guidance promulgated by the Department of Health. * NYS DOH is adopting the CDC guidance and recommends that for persons with COVID-19 illness recovering at home (or other home-like setting, such as a hotel), maintain isolation for at least 10 days after illness onset and at least 3 days (72 hours) after recovery.

• Illness onset is defined as the date symptoms began.

• Recovery is defined as resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medications, with progressive improvement or resolution of other symptoms.
