MALONE, NY —Â On September 10 & 11, 2022, SP Malone troopers arrested 12 suspects from Upstate Correctional Facility, located in Malone, NY for Prison Contraband and Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 5th.
On September 10, 2022, at around 8:00 a.m., Troopers responded to Upstate Correctional facility in the town of Malone for 8 people being detained by Correction Officers. A preliminary investigation revealed 8 different people attempted to smuggle drug paraphernalia into the prison.
On September 10, 2022, around 9:10 a.m., Micheala A. Hanley, 27 of Bronx, NY. She was subsequently arrested for one count of Penal Law 220.06 (1) Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th, one count of Penal Law 205.25 (1) Promoting Prison Contraband 1st. She was arraigned at Malone Town Court and released on her own recognizances.
On September 10, 2022, around 9:15 a.m., Valerie Alvaez, 25 of Brooklyn, NY. She was subsequently arrested for one count of Penal Law 205.20 (1) Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd. She was issued an Appearance Ticket and is to appear in the Malone Town Court on a later date in September.
On September 10, 2022, around 9:35 a.m., Asharay L. Faulk, 29 of Yonkers, NY. She was subsequently arrested for two counts of Penal Law 205.20 (1) Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd. She was issued an Appearance Ticket directing her to appear in the Malone Town Court on a later date in September.
On September 10, 2022, around 9:40 a.m., Robyn L. Wright, 33 of Brooklyn, NY. She was subsequently arrested for one count of Penal Law 220.06 (1) Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th, one count of Penal Law 205.25 (1) Promoting Prison Contraband 1st and one count of Penal Law 205.20 (1) Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd. She was arraigned at Malone Town Court and released on her own recognizances.
On September 10, 2022, around 10:00 a.m., Angelique D. Reyes-Barber, 25 of New York, NY. She was subsequently arrested for one count of Penal Law 205.20 (1) Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd. She was released on her own recognizance.
On September 10, 2022, around 10:10 a.m., Lanaya M. Richardson, 30 of Brooklyn, NY. She was subsequently arrested for one count of Penal Law 205.20 (1) Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd. She was issued an Appearance Ticket and is to appear in the Malone Town Court on a later date in September.
 On September 10, 2022, around 11:15 a.m., Serena M, Smith, 21 of Middletown, NY. She was subsequently arrested for one count of Penal Law 220.06 (1) Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th, one count of Penal Law 205.25 (1) Promoting Prison Contraband 1st and one count of Penal Law 205.20 (1) Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd. She was arraigned in the Malone Town Court and released on her own recognizance.
On September 10, 2022, around 11:40 a.m., Destiny D. Lewis, 26 of Staten Island, NY. She was arrested for one count of Penal Law 220.06 (1) Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th, one count of Penal Law 205.25 (1) Promoting Prison Contraband 1st. She was arraigned at Malone Town Court and released on her own recognizances.

On September 11, 2022, around 8:45 a.m., Catherina J. Byam, 34 of Bronx, NY. She was arrested for one count of Penal Law 205.25 (1) Promoting Prison Contraband 1st. She was issued an Appearance Ticket directing her to appear in the Malone Town Court on a later date in September.
On September 11, 2022, around 8: 45 a.m., Josephine F. Schenck, 33 of Himstead, NY. She was arrested for arrested for one count of Penal Law 220.06 (1) Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th, one count of Penal Law 205.25 (1) Promoting Prison Contraband 1st. She was arraigned at Malone Town Court and released on her own recognizance.
On September 11, 2022, around 9:05 a.m., Alonzo V. Jones, 34 of Brooklyn, NY. He was arrested for one count Penal Law 205.25 (1) Promoting Prison Contraband 1st. He was issued an Appearance Ticket directing him to appear in the Malone Town Court on a later date in September.
On September 11, 2022, around 9:42 a.m., Monica Calhoun, 35 of Rochester, NY. She was arrested for one count of Penal Law 220.06 (1) Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th, one count of Penal Law 205.25 (1) Promoting Prison Contraband 1st. She was arraigned at Malone Town Court and released on her own recognizance.
