ROSSIE — On February 19, 2023, around 08:08 a.m., State Police members responded to a fatal house fire located on Butler Road in the town of Rossie. When Troopers arrived on scene, the residence was completely engulfed in flames and mostly on the ground.
One resident, Jay D. Marsaw, age 79, Hammond, was located deceased after the fire was extinguished.
Hammond Fire and Oxbow Fire and rescue, were on scene assisting the State Police.
This investigation is continuing at this time.
