Statement from Councilwoman Compo

WATERTOWN, NY — City Councilwoman Sarah V. Compo released the following statement:

I would sincerely like to thank each and every voter who visited the polls today and cast their ballot in support of me for Watertown City Council.

I would especially like to thank the hundreds of people who invited me into their homes in recent weeks as I went door-to-door to talk with residents and hear their concerns, suggestions and thoughts on how we can help Watertown reach its full potential.

I believe that the most important duty of any representative is to listen to those they serve and represent their views. In the coming months before the November election, I will dedicate myself to talking firsthand with people, in every corner of our city, about the issues that matter to them.

Last but not least, I would like to thank all of my family, friends and supporters both old and new who helped make tonight’s victory possible. Whether you put a sign in your yard, signed my petition or simply said ‘good luck,’ I appreciate your kindness and support more than you know.Â
