Statement from Watertown City School District superintendent

We Are Cyclone Strong!

Yesterday brought yet another tragedy to a school in Texas. As we struggle to come to terms with the violence that has occurred in communities in our state (Buffalo) and across the nation these last few weeks, please take care of yourselves and ensure your children have space to process anything they may have heard about these events. You do not necessarily need to bring these events up, particularly at the elementary level, but answering questions when they come up will do a great deal to help our children feel safe while they are with us in school. Our counselors, social workers, and school psychologists are available should your child(ren) need time to process, reflect, or talk.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to our staff.

As a reminder, please be vigilant at all times. If you see something, say something.

Together, we will keep our students and each other safe.
