Situation Found: Structure Fire
Cause: Under Investigation
Remarks: Watertown City Fire units were dispatched at 22:50 hours on this date to 134 Scio St. for a reported structure fire. Units arrived on scene in under 2 minutes of dispatch to find smoke coming from the rear of an occupied 2 ½ story wood frame single family residence. Companies made entry and assisted the occupants from the building and began a search for any other victims. Companies found heavy fire in a rear addition to the structure and quickly confined the fire to the area of origin. A defective hydrant in front of the fire building necessitated a second hydrant on Arsenal St being used.
No injuries were reported.
WFD was assisted by Fort Drum FD for a RIT Team, WPD, Guilfoyle Ambulance,
National Grid , City Water Dept. and Code Enforcement
Units cleared the scene at 0312.
