WATERTOWN, NY — Susan B. Pipe, 75, Watertown, passed away Dec. 10, 2023, at Samaritan Summit Village.
Born Aug. 1, 1948, in Watertown, a daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Burns) Beattie. She was a graduate of Pleasantville High School, Pleasantville NY, and Ithaca College.
On Nov. 22, 1979, Sue married Jon W. Pipe in Watertown. Jon passed away May 23, 2010.
Susan was a physical education teacher and coach in Westchester County and at Watertown High School. Later in her career, she was a Special Education teacher for Jefferson – Lewis BOCES.
Susan is survived by her brother Gavin Beattie, Orleans, MA; sister Martha Pritchard, Mentor, OH; and sister and brother-in-law Maureen and John Benfield, Riverhead, NY, and her six nephews; Jack, Peter and Benjamin Benfield, and James, Daniel, and Brian Pritchard.
Sue will be remembered by her family as an avid Syracuse and New York Giants fan who enjoyed sharing her knowledge and love for sports.
Burial in Black River Cemetery will be at a time and date in Spring 2024.
