DEXTER, NY — Terry L. Biedekapp, 60, Dexter, passed away Monday, Nov. 6, at Samaritan Medical Center, Warertown.

He married Aimee M. Docteur, whom he met in the Blizzard of 1977, on Aug. 16, 1980.

A man who cherished his family and friends, and always left “the shed” door open for anyone who wanted to stop in.

Terry was head cook at Watertown Correctional Facility for 30 years retiring January 2017.

He was also a member of Watertown United Soccer League, played Semi-Pro soccer in Canada and was an Empire State Athlete.

Terry enjoyed the outdoors, nature and animals.

He is survived by his wife Aimee and two children: Kathryn L. Biedekapp of Cicero “his favorite girl”, Matthew D. Biedekapp and his wife Lindsey of Manlius, Sawyer Malcolm Biedekapp, his first grandchild, born recently on his parent’s third anniversary, his father Malcolm and wife Mary Ann and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was always a big part of what we always looked forward to. He never wanted to be the center of attention- but always stole the show.

Admired for his sense of humor and wit, he was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
