Terry L. MacDonald, 82, Barker

BARKER, NY —  Terry L. MacDonald, 82, passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, at his home in Barker.

Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc., 2670 Main St., Newfane  where funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2019, in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery.

Born April 26, 1937, in the town of Somerset, a son of Clayton A. and DeLona (Winnie) MacDonald, Sr., he graduated in 1954 from Barker High School.

On Dec. 30, 1954, he entered the US Air Force, serving in Maine, Texas, Greenland, and French Morocco. He was honorably discharged as an Airman 1st Class on Oct. 30, 1958.

He married Edna Jean Harvey Winters on July 7, 1962, at St. Patrick’s Church, Barker with Rev. Francis Walker officiating.

Terry began his machinist career on June 1, 1961, at Sherwood, Lockport. After 36 years of service to the company, he retired on April 25, 1997.

Mr. MacDonald was an exempt member of the Barker Fire Dept.

He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and hunting.

Along with his wife, Edna Jean, he is survived by his six children, John A. (Rosa) MacDonald, Lockport, Alan D. (Linda) MacDonald, Warren, OH, Jane E. (Thomas) Arcara, Buffalo, Joan A. (Dan) Profetta, Rochester, Jean B. Davis and companion Robert A. Hendley, Theresa, and Donna G. (Howard) Jacobs, Ridgefield Park, NJ; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a  brother, Clayton A. MacDonald, Jr., Clearwater, FL; a sister-in-law Carol MacDonald, Rochester; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by son-in-law Steven R. Davis and two brothers, Larry J. and Willis E. MacDonald.
