WATERTOWN, NY —Â Thelma Betty Grieco, 83, Watertown, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at her residence.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2020, in North Watertown Cemetery, Bradley Street, Watertown.
Born July 24, 1936, in Watertown, NY, the daughter to Raymond and Jennifer Bush Hollenbeck, Sr., she graduated from Watertown High School.
In her early 20s she lost her eye sight so she went to New York City to learn braille.
She worked for several years in the kitchen at Mercy Hospital, Watertown.
She married Irving (Sonny) Walter. Together they had a daughter Cynthia. The marriage ended in a divorce. She later married Danny Grieco.
Thelma enjoyed spending time with her daughter, Cynthia along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a sweet lovely lady.
Surviving are a son-in-law, Randy Granger; three grandchildren, Beth and companion Dorothy, Charlie (Doris) Howard, Craig (Katheleena) Granger; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her daughter, Cynthia Granger and her 11 siblings, Jerry, John, Raymond, Daniel, Robert, Ruth, Katherine, Gloria (Skip), Rose, Delores and Florence.
