Thomas R. Beecher Jr., 43, formerly of Watertown,

WATERTOWN, NY — Thomas Rafferty Beecher Jr., 43, formerly of Watertown, NY, passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident on Feb. 4, 2019, in Jacksonville, Florida, where he resided for the past 11 years.

Born September 28, 1975, in Watertown, NY, the son of Sharon M. Stone and Thomas R. Beecher Sr., he was a 1995 graduate of Watertown High School with a architectural drafting certificate. After graduating he enlisted in the U.S Navy until discharged.

On July 27, 1996, he married his high school sweet heart and shared two beautiful children.

He had various jobs in life. He was a jack of all trades. Being a mechanic was his passion. Although a short life he lived a fulfilling life with his friends and family. He had a love for many genres of music and would attend many concerts. His favorite things growing up we’re going to the hunting camp, the lake house to fish and family porch parties on state street surrounded by the people he loved.

Tommy is survived by his wife Mary (Baylog) Beecher, his two children; son Cody Thomas Beecher, daughter Haylie Jane Beecher, granddaughter Novah Jane Beecher, mother Sharon M. Stone, stepfather John M. Madlin, father Thomas R. Beecher Sr. (Nancy) all of Watertown. His two sisters Jennifer Gray (Calvin) Flintstone, Georgia, Kristina White (Steven) Jacksonville, Florida a half sister Jaimie Magee (Cory) Bangor, Maine step brother John M Madlin Chaumont, NY; Five aunts, four uncles, 7 nieces and nephews and many cousins whom he loved and adored.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Frank Howard Stone & Mary Louise (Mosher) Stone his paternal grandparents Roy and Ann Jane (Rafferty) Beecher, his beloved Aunt Patricia Marie Beecher Ranieri and cousin Brandon Beecher.

Tommy was a true hero at his last call, he was an organ donor and gave the Gift of Life to four recipients.

Services will be held 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, at Reed and Benoit funeral home 632 State St., Watertown. Following the services will be a Celebration of Life at the VFW on 231 Bellew Avenue, Watertown.
