Tononica S. Reynolds, 41, Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY — Tononica S. Reynolds, 41, of S. Rutland Street, Watertown, died peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, at the Samaritan Medical Center.

She was born on Dec. 10, 1979, in Fort Polk, Louisiana, a daughter of the late Merritt M. Reynolds, Jr. and Kathaleen A. Hasseler. She graduated in 1998 from Copenhagen Central School.

She graduated from Jefferson Community College with an associates degree, and after that she attended college in Utica.

She is survived by her companion, Michael Schaber, Watertown; a brother, Merritt M. (Christian) Reynolds III, Watertown; a sister, Sirina (John) Phelps, Watertown; along with several aunts and uncles and nephews.

Tononica loved sports and was extremely competitive in all aspects of her life.

She was selfless and charitable, willing to help anyone in need, and always prioritized others.

She loved unconditionally and always put family first, including her furry family. She was opinionated and stubborn, but that was part of her charm. There were no secrets with her. You always knew how she felt.

She had an undeniable magnetism that drew people in and the warmth of her light will continue to shine in the lives of those lucky enough to have known her.

There will be no services.

A private graveside service will be held by the family in the spring in the Dexter Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to any local animal shelter in her name.
